On the 17th of May, AMPOWER was invited to the Department of Civil Engineering at National Cheng Kung University to deliver a special lecture for master’s and doctoral students. Our General Manager, Calvin Chen, presented on the topic of resilient emergency power systems for semiconductor factories. He provided the students with detailed insights into the electrical grid architecture, backup power construction methods, ventilation, seismic protection, and future industry prospects.
Leveraging on over three decades of experience and expertise, we gave a comprehensive yet accessible introduction to the power system capacities of high-tech factories, spatial requirements, practical aspects of design and engineering coordination, power structure of factories, machine room ventilation design, seismic protection for machine rooms, the government’s energy transition plans, and AMPOWER’s recent achievements in renewable energy projects within the Taiwanese market.
AMPOWER aims to use this lecture to enhance the students’ understanding of the theoretical foundations and practical cases of high-tech factory engineering. We also hope to attract interested students to become a part of AMPOWER Group after graduation, contributing their brilliant minds to the design and construction of high-tech factory projects in Taiwan and globally, ensuring the stable and continuous operation of manufacturing processes.
AMPOWER’s energy services and power solutions not only support Taiwan’s semiconductor industry, but also provide backup power for Taiwan Power Company during power supply shortages in the evening. Additionally, we develop customized energy solutions for various industries, including manufacturing, chemical, panel, financial, construction, and medical sectors, ensuring uninterrupted business operations.
