Inside AMPOWER’s EPC Expertise: Empowering Future Engineers at NTUST

AMPOWER’s second lecture this semester just wrapped last Wednesday! This semester-long industrial-academia collaboration with Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and three top universities in Taiwan (NTU, NTUST, NTNU) is an incredible opportunity to connect us with the talents and minds of the future.

Following Mars Lin’s April 2 class on PLTC™, our Vice President Huang Pi-Hsien met with university students on April 9 to walk them through one of AMPOWER’s core specialties: Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), and how it’s applied in one of the biggest industries in Taiwan: semiconductors.

As we can witness from the first session, students were also eager to learn more from VP Huang—his professional experience reaching 40+ years in the industry! This time, he had a rich session detailing:
🔧 EPC Turnkey Overview: A foundational guide to the structure and scope of EPC turnkey projects
Backup Generator Case Study: Technical insights into designing and planning an EPC turnkey project for backup power systems
🏭 Full Semiconductor Plant Project: A deep look into how EPC turnkey contractors supports the semiconductor success in Taiwan through precision engineering and system integration
🔌 Equipment Installation & Secondary Distribution: What it takes to connect emergency power systems to the facility’s utilities

A sincere thanks to the brilliant Professor Lee Chun-Yao, an award-winning engineer and a dedicated educator, for bringing us all together! Many left with something more than just notes that day: the sense that there’s a place for them in this fast-moving industry.
